Custom Beach Growth Chart
Very excited to have received this Etsy order for a beach growth chart. There were only few minor changes to the original beach chart that I had made previously, but just as enjoyable to make. I think growth charts are my favorite item to create by far because they are like mini murals! Don't be afraid to inquire about a custom designed chart for yourself or as a gift. Like wall murals, I can come up with 100's of designs!!

New Growth Chart for a Little Girl's Dream Room!
I'm excited to showcase a new growth chart painted for a special baby girl. I designed it to fit any butterfly/flower themed room, however, it also goes great with the Sugar Plum bedding from CoCaLo that Babies r Us sells. The chart measures 12" wide by 48" tall and is always personalized for free. I advertise that the personalization includes name, birthdate, weight, time and height. However, if you wish, I can can just personalize it with the child's name, which may be designed differently, so the name is vertical going down the length of the chart.
I can create growth charts to match ANY theme. All I need is bedding info, or just theme and/or colors. These charts are great keepsakes and make perfect gifts. Simply roll them up and pack them away when no longer needed. They complete the look to every room!
Check this chart out, along with my other items in my Etsy shop!

36 weeks ... and counting!
Finally I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Only 2-3 more weeks of enduring sciatic nerve pain, heartburn and constant bathroom trips. I'm looking forward to being able to turn over in my bed without groaning and praying that the sudden leg cramps don't resurface. I really do cherish every little kick, head butt to my bladder and squirm. But the sight of those movements along with grunting sounds will be relished even more after the baby is born.
Last Thursday I had my ultrasound to determine approximate size and weight of baby Hummer. Just shy of 36 weeks, the baby is approximately 6 lbs. 7 oz. Everything measured right on time, with the exception of the femur (leg) bone. Our long legged baby would be 38 weeks and 4 days gestation, if that's all we took into consideration. It should be interesting how long she/he is at birth.
Please keep us all in your prayers as we prepare for the arrival of our newest addition. We are very excited and will keep you posted!

My 20 Week Ultra-Silhouette
Unfortunately when it comes to painting, my personal projects get put on hold. But I finally found a few hours to devote to my sweet baby's ultrasound painting. The room is a blue/grey color and since we don't know the sex, I decided to stick to a fun, bright and light color.
The painting is done on a 16x20 canvas sheet, which I framed in a wide, white frame. We are still in the process of moving furniture around and getting the nursery ready. (It's my third - I'm allowed to wait to the last minute.) When we have everything finalized, we'll be proudly hanging our baby's first picture. I can't wait!
Foot Stool Cover
Some of you may laugh at this, and that's ok. I accept laughter as a compliment. After my hubby slaved over the kid's bathroom, we very quickly became aware of every little move our two little men did in the bathroom. The new vanity is taller than usual, bringing on the necessity of a foot stool for the kids. Which works great, until they slide it up against the beautiful rich color of the vanity.
I came upon another blog where they had built their own stool out of boxes and then covered it with fuzzy fabric. What a GREAT idea! So I created my own slipcover for the foot stool - and now NO scratches! Plus the kids love the soft fur underneath their bare feet.
I WILL NOT tell you how to cut and sew one of these together. That's not why I'm sharing this. I am NO seamstress. If you would have seen how I cut and sewn the pieces together, you would have gotten a good laugh! Trust me. But I did pull it off, and the final product serves its purpose. Yay me!
